bastille musique presents its seventh release »Luke Bedford: Through his Teeth« featuring the Opera Factory Freiburg, the Holst-Sinfonietta, Klaus Simon (conductor) and soloists Siri Karoline Thornhill (soprano), Sirin Kilic (mezzo-soprano) and Georg Gädker (baritone). This world premiere recording of Bedford’s 2014 chamber opera, which he wrote in collaboration with librettist David Harrower based on a true story, was produced by the SWR at the Hans-Rosbaud-Studio. Additionally, the set includes a 64-page bilingual booklet (EN, DE) with the libretto, articles by Cornelius Bauer and an interview with the composer, plus three concertina-fold inserts with photos of the composer, a staged performance of the work and the performers in the studio.
